difficulty

'I am anxious' means that anxiety is happening to me. But:

*'I am difficult' does not mean that difficulty is happening to me.

Explain.

I will give it a shot even though I am not good at such things:
both are adjectives (predicative) but the fact that "anxious" is an inconsistent state of being and "difficult" might pertain to a consistent attitude problem makes the two usages, though both adjectives, different in nature.

was that a good shot or wasn't there any sense at all?

Haha. Anyway, I enjoy such questions even though it's quite obvious that I can't answer them at all.

Ciao!
